The 4th Advanced Imaging Masterclass (AIM) two-day symposium was held in Adelaide from 1st – 2nd February 2019. A cast of international experts spearheaded by Amol Bapaye, Han Mo Chiu and course convenor Rajvinder Singh provided expert insights on endoscopic mucosal imaging and intervention.
The first day was a mini colonoscopy symposia, which saw live endoscopy and interesting cases demonstrated on the diagnosis of barrett’s oesophagus, early gastric cancer and colon polyps.
The second day consisted of didactic lectures and was streamed into Perth (St John of God Subiaco) and Auckland (LIVE Auckland).
The course was aimed to teach endoscopists the latest advances in mucosal imaging with an emphasis on improving the diagnostic ability to detect, characterise and treat oesophageal, gastric, duodenal and colorectal lesions. A combination of cases, didactic lectures, video forums and ‘Ask the Expert’ sessions provided a holistic overview of diagnosis and treatment paradigms.
With over 100 participants and an extensive local faculty this was an extremely well attended course.
AIM 2020 will run in Adelaide from 7th – 8th February 2020, with a live stream to Auckland, Perth and Melbourne.
